ABOUT TOM

About Tom Muench

Community. Experience. Service.

Tom Muench has a long-standing commitment to public service and the Richmond Hill community. Having served as Richmond Hill’s Ward 2 Councillor from 2014 to 2022, Tom brings years of municipal experience and a deep familiarity with the issues that affect residents, families, seniors and local businesses.

Throughout his years in public service, Tom has remained engaged with the community and focused on the everyday issues that shape quality of life — responsible government, affordability, neighbourhood safety, transportation, community services and opportunities for future generations.

Today, Tom continues his involvement in Richmond Hill with a focus on the priorities he believes matter to residents: controlling government spending and taxes, improving housing affordability, supporting seniors, strengthening neighbourhood safety, reducing traffic congestion, and encouraging a strong local economy with quality employment opportunities.

Tom believes Richmond Hill should remain a community where families can build their future, seniors can afford to stay in the community they helped build, young people can find opportunity, businesses can prosper, and residents have a meaningful voice in the decisions that affect their neighbourhoods.

Tom’s continuing goal is to bring his municipal experience and community involvement to the work of serving Richmond Hill and Ward 2.
